A common resident and feeder visitor throughout most of the US and southern Canada, the White-breasted Nuthatch looks like a mechanical toy as it goes down, around, and even upside down along the trunk of a tree searching for food. This classic upside down Nuthatch pose was captured when the bird came close to investigate the sound of the photographer's camera.
