Brant occur in the far northern portions of North America, Europe, and Asia. In North America they breed in the high Arctic coastal regions of Alaska and northern Canada. They winter along both coasts of North America. This one was photographed foraging on winter grass along the coast of New Jersey, USA. Photo taken with a 300mm f4.5 Nikkor ED lens on Kodachrome 200 film. (Date: April 1989)
