Mallards occur throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.
In addition to being the common park pond duck, they are widespread and breed throughout North America except for high arctic Canada and the southeastern US.
They winter throughout the US.
This pair of Mallards was photographed at Lily Lake in Cape May, New Jersey, USA.
