Pomarine Jaegers occur along the northern coasts of North America, Europe, and Asia. In North America they breed in the high Arctic coastal regions of northern Alaska and Canada. They winter at sea off the southern coasts of the US. This one was photographed as it soared alongside the boat on a pelagic trip out of Montauk, Long Island in New York, USA.
