Brown Thrashers breed throughout the eastern and northcentral US and along southern Canada. They winter in the southeastern US and along the mid-Atlantic states. This one was photographed after it took refuge on our boat a hundred miles out to sea on a pelagic trip out of Montauk, Long Island in New York, USA.
