Steller's Sea-Eagles breed along coastal Siberia and the Kamchatka Peninsula. The world population is approximately 6,000 to 7,000 and about a third of them winter on the northern and eastern coasts of the island of Hokkaido, Japan. These fighting Steller's Sea-Eagles were photographed along the shores of the Notsuke peninsula near Nemuro-Shibetsu on the island of Hokkaido, Japan as one male chased off a rival suitor.
