Hutton's Vireos breed along the west coast of Canada and the US from southwestern British Columbia to southern California, and in the mountains and foothills of southeastern Arizona, southwestern New Mexico, and western Texas. This one was photographed along the road to Rustler Park in southeastern Arizona. Photo taken with a 300mm f4.5 Nikkor ED lens on Ektachrome 400 film pushed to 800. (Date: May 1985)

Philadelphia Vireos breed across much of southern Canada except British Columbia and along the US border from Minnesota to Maine. Although Philadelphia Vireos are regular migrants during the fall in the East, this one was photographed when it showed up unexpectedly in a "mini-fallout" during spring migration along the coast of southern New Jersey. Photo taken with a 300mm f4 Nikkor EDAF lens on Kodachrome 200 film. (Date: May 1996)
