This Loggerhead Shrike was photographed at Laguna Atascosa NWR, Rio Hondo, TX, USA. It was perched on an Agave plant which it used for food storage (note the body of an Indigo Bunting stuck on an Agave spine to the right). Photo taken with a Nikkor ED 300 f4.5 lens on Kodachrome 64 film. (Date: April 1982)
