Palm Warbler - Western
[Dendroica palmarum palmarum]
[Length 5.5 in. Wingspan 8 in.]
Palm Warblers breed throughout southern Canada except British Columbia, and in the Great Lakes region of the US.
They are a common fall migrant along the east coast of the US and winter along the southeast and Gulf coasts of the US.
Their habit of constantly pumping their tails makes them easy to identify.
This Palm Warbler was photographed at the Willows, Anahuac NWR, TX.
Photo taken with a Nikkor 300mm EDAF-S f4 lens (EFL=450mm) on a Nikon D100 camera.
